Mid Ohio, aerial view of all track With the 4th event of the league we passed the half-way, we are in USA once more after Laguna Seca and the track is quite similar we can say.
We are in Ohio state and we’ll race in the famous Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course that has been called “the most competitive” track in America, a circuit rich of history that was first built on 1962 and was updated on several occasions, the last on 2005.
Mid Ohio is a very technical track, quite short but there are a lot of technical details where you can pick up a lot of time, definitely a very hard track to go fast on.
This kind of track is not loved by all drivers but we’ve got some that like it really much, time to see the results!

QUALIFYING RESULT

As usual we start looking the fastest class which is P1, we’ve got 3 drivers, Josè Espinosa is the fastest with the 5th time, Durielk is 8th and Kamilo62 is 9th. In total we have 11 contenders for this class.
Going to P2 we have an amazing Nemesis on 2nd position at just 0.182 secs from the pole, he’s always improving and likes a lot this kind of track as he did very well also in Laguna Seca. Walter976 is in a disappointing 14th place, worst result of the season unable to get any pace.
Last class where we have a driver is GT2 with our Bartix in 5th place.

RACE RESULT

40 minutes of intense racing, obviously the drivers have been splitted on 2 heats, the track is short and the qualifiers are 42.

This time all our qualified drivers took part of the race, well done.

MID OHIOHEAT 1

On this heat we have Nemesis, his qualifying position and time have been fantastic and had big expectations but the race was a frustrating one unfortunately.
Shortly before the race began he had computer problems linked to his pc running out of power some how, so he lowered settings to make sure it lasted the whole race unfortunately his computer was laggy.
So at start he was relatively tentative but the pace seemed good, he was keeping Bryan (P1) behind him despite him getting very close on the straights and staying close to the back of B izadfar. Just after Frozen spun he made a really silly mistake in the last corner and spun, losing a lot of places putting him back in the mid field.
The impact between Nemesis and Kamilo62 From this point he was just pushing as hard as possible, trying to get past others quickly to catch up which he managed (Ibrahim proved quite tricky to get past and eventually got past because of his error) so back up to 2nd in his class, all be it quite far behind B izadfar things were looking good again when coming up to lap his team mate Kamilo62, he spun in the middle of the last corner in sector 2 (OMG!). He tried to brake but there was nothing he could do in the quick corner as there is very little run off area and a big wall next to it, crash!!!. As he got back on the gas realizing the front of the car was in a mess he thought maybe he had got away without anything too serious, but on turning in on the next corner he realized he had a puncture and pitted immediatly.
Lost about a minute in the pits and when he came out lapped he knew any decent points chance had gone, but he pushed on as hard as possible and over took a few drivers before the end (Mihai Calota a couple of metres before the end).

Coming 11th in the overall class standing was not a good result but one of those things if you happen to get collected in someone elses accident, not a lot you can do.

Next Olympic driver is Kamilo62 on P1 class, another DNF for him due to a stupid accident, a little too aggressive at start going on the gravel but than a nice driving able to get 13th place and passing also Arti.
The track was clear in front so he pushed hard getting around 15 secs gap from the driver behind, really confident with car and track but than at 22 mins to go he went on a curb by himself, lost the car, engine blown and race over. The bad thing is that he was followed close by Nemesis that couldn’t avoid the impact, very bad luck for the team.
Lost a nice position and a nice race… again not able to reach the finish line but surely we can see some improvements.

MID OHIOHEAT 2

Congratulations to our 2 P1 drivers of this heat Josè Espinosa and Durielk nice and smooth race for both of them arriving 2nd and 3rd on the heat behind CasH.
Very tight heat having just 2 secs gap from the leader, less than 7 secs between our 2 drivers and Mymini and Bogdanis following them very close, nice results for our drivers, respectively 5th and 6th in overall class race standing.
Josè after the finish line

On P2 class we have our Walter976, his race was really terrible, a disaster one…
He had a safe start and been passed by Veldt, then on lap 1 he passed him back on T2 and on same turn lap 2 he passed Rinker, the car was nice to drive (thanks Nemesis for nice setup) but he made a stupid mistake touching a curb on last sector of lap 2, car went on the gravel, small touch on barriers and restarted nearly last.
A bit nervous due to the error but he started doing good laps and over took a lot of people, while lapping a P1 guys (the chinese one) at around lap 10 he was too aggressive (again his fault) so he spun on last corner and lost rear wing.
Had to do a complete lap without wing than around 40 secs time pit, restarted last again, very last this time, without motivations he continued the race with small errors here and there, a couple of more spins and one even on last curve of last lap, what a shame.
12th place on the heat and 16th in the P2 overall race standing, at least he collected few points… race to be forgotten soon.

Accidend on pit straight involving Casshern, Marvin ad McMilan
Bartix get away without damage!
Last to be mentioned our GT2 hero Bartix, until the last minute he wasn’t sure will he start, due to some serious electricity issues in his neighborhood last week, the voltage was not stable. So most interesting for him was looking from time to time on his lamp which was flashing, and considering will his PC burn or just turn off during the race (this isn’t funny).
He started little too aggressive and hitted or just scratched Marvin, he couldn’t really see him. Couldn’t see the start lights either! There were couple yellows, but luckily he avoided any damages. The hottest moment for him was the crashing action on start/finish straight where Casshern spun and then CasH the leader hit him, and Marvin hit him and Mr. McMilan hit him LOL. And he…didn’t ! LOL!!!.
Quite boring race, at the end he was 15th on the heat and 3rd on his class, indeed a beautiful result for a rookie on his first league on Tyka.

————————————————————

The overall driver standings sees on P1 Durielk 7th, Josè Espinosa 8th and Kamilo62 last still at 0 points. Bogdanis is leading followed close by Frozen, CasH and Bryan not far behinh.
On P2 Nemesis is 8th and Walter976 11th, we have 2 leaders RustyM and B Izadfar with Zunik very close to them.
On GT2 Bartix is now leader! He took advantage of the absence of MasterD and now the gap between the 2 is 70 points. Thanks mate, we are living tis dream together with you!

We go back to Europe now, in Germany, the track is Hockenheim but attention, is not the last modified track but the original one with long straights! Cya there guys!
