Discussions, testings, setup improving and finally the first Formula 1 event of the league in Bahrain, our beloved F1 season is on the way to begin.
The qualify went good with 31 drivers ready to compete, the first race of the league is always a special one, everybody was excited and curious to see what his performance will be but this time something went wrong.
TYKA decided to run with all drivers together to test the capability of the mod (maybe something that had to be done earlier with a test event) but since the practice before race many drivers suffered connection/lag problems, the decision was to keep going, the show must go on.
On the starting grid everything was looking normal until the green light, massive lag for nearly everybody, cars disappearing, moving strangely and so on, in few words a mess. Some drivers have also been kicked out by the server just before the race, others decided to abort after few laps as it was too difficult and dangerous to drive.
After a number of drivers left the race the situation improved a lot and many said that it was back to a normal on-line race condition which means close fights and enjoyable driving, the race finished normaly of course followed by many complains from all those that faced big troubles.

TYKA admins decision is that there will be a re-race in Bahrain at the end of the season, only those drivers qualified will be allowed to partecipate to the new race, the qualify grid will remain untouched, the points given for the qualify sessions will remain while the race result is cancelled.
Bad luck for the awaited start of the season, at the end a good decision by TYKA staff but with the impression that a pre-season test could avoid this problem. Anyway this is past now, it was a good warm-up test for all drivers able to complete the race, still not sure how will be the limitation of drivers per heat that TYKA will apply for the rest of the season, a quite important choice.
We are all already focused for Australia-Melbourne event, everybody is getting used to the new mod with confidence that the problems we had in Bahrain will be managed properly to get what we all want: real race simulations!
