Brno track, aerial view Here we are in Brno, popular track for both fans and drivers. It’s a wide circuit with many overtaking opportunities, the circuit is built in a natural bowl which is banked in places to offer spectators an excellent view, this also means that Brno constantly changes in elevation as it sweeps across forested hillsides and its fast undulating corners really test driver talent and engineering to the limit. The track features many slow to midspeed corners with varius radius, and demands a setup that’s well balanced at those speeds, but still able to navigate the very fast sweeping first turn. Exit speed is key, as almost all corners lead to a potential overtaking possibility.
A 40 minutes sprint race for us, some important points for the championship with only 2 races to go!

QUALIFYING RESULT

Three drivers qualified for P1 class Juan Fran is back and is immediatly the fastest one in 4th place, Josè Espinosa is following him very close 5th while Durielk is 9th.
Three drivers also on P2 class, Nemesis is incredibly fast and got the 3rd place, Walter976 is only 9th while Avni Tumay (welcome back mate!) is 13th.
We cannot forget of our Bartix that is 2nd on GT2, this race can give him the driver championship on his class, good luck.

RACE RESULT

Very happy to see 2 our drivers back on-line, unfortunately both Juan Fran and Avni Tumay could not take part of the race, are they just warming up for the F1 season?

This time we had 35 qualifiers and 28 drivers showing for the race, this means simply a couple of words that we extremly like: ONE HEAT! One more time we’ll race all together, fisrt time for a sprint race but the track is wide and quite long so a good choice from the Tyka staff.

BRNOTHE RACE

Amazing result for the team, our best driver is not driving a P1 car so he needs a special mention, Nemesis has been awesome with his P2, so fast that only 3 drivers have been able to finish in front of him and 2 of them had a faster P1 car.
Even though this was his second 2nd place in this league this was probably his best result so far and he had a really enjoyable race.
Nemesis passing CasH
Big crash on T1, Nemesis is able to get 2nd place
Starting 3rd he got a decent enough get away but unfortunatly the car in front was quite slow and he had to go around, as a result he had P1’s driving past him and RustyM did too. Our driver was quite worried about this as he knew he might well be held up.
After a lap or so Nemesis was still stuck behind RustyM, one corner he got held up by RustyM’s slower exit out of a turn and CasH managed to get past him, soon after he got past RustyM but was now stuck behind CasH who was struggling with his heavy car. He knew this was wrecking his race but fortune saved him when CasH smashed into Bryan in turn 1 and collected Tygernoot as well some laps down the line.
This put our driver in 2nd behind B Izadfar, who was 7 seconds up the road, spent the rest of the race pushing to catch up and managed at best to get within 3 seconds of him but on the last lap there was some traffic and the gap ended at about 5 seconds.
Was a really good race for Nemesis, quick pace, very little errors and if he had not been in so much traffic early on he might of had a chance of challenging for the win as his ultimate pace was quicker than B Izadfar.
Nemesis finishes 2nd on his lass, great race!

Josè spinning on lap 1 The race of Josè Espinosa was not clean at all and has been compromized by a couple of spins on lap 1.
After the terrible starting lap Josè recovered well overtaking a lot of drivers and taking advantage of the big LRT team crash on T1 involving CasH, Tygernoot and Bryan, his races ended just behind Durielk on 6th place.

Nice result by Durielk he had a pretty stable race car and picked up a second with a rear wing adjustment comment from Nemesis. It was a fast starting light this time and it caught him off guard so he lost positions again on start. On the good side, with his stable car he was able to easily repass many cars that could not match speed and cornering ablity of his P1.
Nice and clean race for Durielk Good clean race, he has 30 sec penalty due to late braking error from last race and no early internet disconnection, had a few fender bumps this time but he had his car on inside and no-one lost the track.
As the front runners tangled he moved up to secure a nice position, if he would have not been surprized by the lights he might of even done better, 5th position on the heat which has become a 9th place due to the 30 sec penalty standing from Hockenheim.

Rinker and Schumikov passed by Walter976 on same turn
Walter976 spun after being touched by Rinker

Unlucky race for Walter976, he tried to avoid contacts on T1 but have been slightly touched by Veldt and lost few positions than he closed the gap on Rinker and Schumikov and passed both of them on same turn which was great.
The race was going good and he started to push to reach RustyM but Rinker behind him was also pushing hard, Walter could defend his position without big troubles until he gave way to a quicker Josè coming from behind and Rinker tried to pass on the same time, our driver closed the door but Rinker touched him on the back and made him spun… worthing a dispute as Rinker tried to pass when he was too far away.
Restarted without damage but disappointed, few laps later Walter spun again by his own this time as he was too aggressive, car damaged and lost it under braking few turns after, it was not drivable anymore, race aborted. A pity as the car was feeling good, really bad results for him on all sprint races.

MasterD gives back his position to Bartix, this is fair play It’s the time of Bartix now, the most important race for him as it can give the GT2 title.
Well, there were whole two GT2 cars, Bartix had good start this time, he could finally see the starting lights :). First hot moment catched him in first corner’s entrance, he got about 3 sec lag. Luckily he didn’t crashed, he lost position but took it back in next corner when MasterD has shown what “fair play” means by giving back the position to our driver. Has been a great move by MasterD that has realized the lag problems encountered by Bartix and is now following him directly on his tail.
MasterD spun trying to catch Bartix They drove 3 laps wheel to wheel, in second corner on lap 4 MasterD spun so our driver got about 6 sec advantage from this point. Their pace was similar but Bartix didn’t push too much as he didn’t want to risk, his goal was to be at the finish line. He concentrated on avoiding mistakes and keeping constant pace, there were couple hot moments while lapping, but fortunately nothing serious, his car stood untouched for entire race.
On laps 4 – 17 he kept about 4-8 sec gap to MasterD, he spun again on lap 17 and the advantage of our driver was about 19 sec now, that let him relax and he finished the race with 15 sec in front of his rival. 1st place again for Bartix!

This result gave to Bartix the title of GT2 class!!!
Bartix, the champion of GT2 class!

Let’s take some time to celebrate our champion, he won the title one race in advance, this is the 3rd win on his class and he has been on podium 5 times out of 6 races, we are all proud of him, he added a well deserved title to our team.

Immediately after the race the celebration started on Olympic box as Walter976 finished his race in advance to organize drinks and food for everyone, not to mention the conditions of Nemesis, Josè and Durielk all completely drunk, all 3 decided to sleep on their own car seat as reaching the bed was impossible LOL
From all the team members congratulation to Bartix for the title and his active part on the team comunications! CONGRATULATIONS!

————————————————————

Josè Espinosa is now 4th on overall P1 standing, it will be vey hard to get the podium with just one race to go. Durielk 7th. Top 3 are Frozen, Bogdanis and CasH.
On P2 Nemesis is also 4th with 55point gap from 3rd place, Walter976 is 9th.
No more words for Bartix THE CHAMPION OF GT2 class!!!

We had to keep this info as confidential till now but now we can proudly announce this great news for the team:
after our last party in Brno, where our team mate Nemesis spent all night in his open chassis car (in Czech Republic in the middle of February brrrrr) and where our other team mate Walter missed and the team management found him after three days investigations, Bartix decided to figure out something. He met his old friend and proposed him the sponsoring for this kind of action after two nights of hard drinking negotiations…. here it is:
The Olympic Mobile Party Trailer!!!

Bartix, the white rabbit! It calls “Olympic Mobile Party Trailer” and after mounting special extra large fridge for team drinks, it will go it’s way immediatly to Spa Francorchamps-Begium for the last league event, to be availabe in the paddock on Sunday morning.
The opening is on Sunday at 22:30 so don’t be late! All league drivers are invited as we should show that the Olympic Team rules apply not only on the track but also on the paddock after race events!

And that’s not all! Bartix’s friend promised that if others Olympic drivers will showed good performance in Spa, the trailer would become the Olympic property. The expected party should be the greatest one in this century, and probably will be visible even from the… outer space.
Beside this Bartix decided to wear the new special racing uniform for Spa race to say thanks to his friend.
Cya in Belgium!!!
