The Circuit de Catalunya aka Circuit de Barcelona is a racetrack in Montmeló, to the north of Barcelona, Catalonia. It is home to the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix and the motorcycle Catalonia Grand Prix.

With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. As such it is probably one of the sport’s most important testing grounds. Conversely, during actual racing, it has received criticism for being uneventful, with most races being a procession. Yet the Spanish Grand Prix remains a staple feature of the F1 season

QUALIFYING RESULTS

10 Olympic drivers have quaified for Spain GP, very tight grid with 15 drivers in just 1,5 sec gap.
Okan was back online taking the pole by +0.2 sec on Ricardo, JuanFran is 3rd once more the fastest Olympic driver, I was the second Walter976 in 10th position followed by Zoneur 11th, Tictac 13th and Avni Tumay 15th.
More down we have Inigo, Adriano500 and Nemesis in 18th, 19th and 20th places, Ambadar 32nd and Frank87 34th.
Not a brillian result for our team with many LRT drivers in top places, is going to be an hard round, let’s go to race now!

RACE RESULTS

Yes we knew this race was not easy for us and when you’re not fast you have to bring the car to the finish and collect as many points as possible but… only 3 of us were able to finish the race, Inigo is 5th best of our drivers (compliments boss, always very consistent), me, Walter976 7th (with a 10 sec stop/go due to speed on pit, could be 5th!) and Tictac 10th (with 40 sec penalty that was pending from Bahrain race).
For all others this race was a nightmare, specially for Zoneur out on lap 1 involved in an accident against Danny3L (at least he took off one fast LRT driver LOL), Adriano500 and Frank87 out on lap 10, Avni Tumay out on lap 27 (again problem with his wheel, fix it quickly mate!) and JuanFran out on lap 46 (engine blown while was fighting for 2nd place…).

Not a lucky race with LRT scoring a lot of points having Ricardo 1st (congratulation, beautiful race!) and Tygernoot 3rd plus other 3 drivers in top 10, they are now leading the team championship by 33 point, don’t leave them go away guys, we need a prompt reaction.

There are 3 drivers fighting hard for the first place, we still have the lead thanks to JuanFran with 20 points on Ricardo and 21 on Okan, very exciting to see the progress of the championship, is becoming more and more interesting but only in the top place, we’ve got 5 drivers on top 15.

Next round is a very special one, we go to Monaco, everybody know that anything can happend there like a bad qualify and a beautiful race results, here more than ever “if you want to finish first, first you have to finish”!
