Here we are guys, the new rFactor Tyka F1 season is starting, the mod selected by the community is MMG 2007 SE 2.1, surely not a bad choice even if someone would have preferred a different one.
As is happening from some years the first round is in the warm Australia of this period of the year and precisely in Melbourne, the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit is a street-based circuit around Albert Park Lake,
only a couple of kilometres south of central Melbourne, compared to other circuits that are held on public roads, the Albert Park track has quite a smooth surface due to the road sections that were rebuilt prior to the inaugural event in 1996.
The course is considered to be quite fast and relatively easy to drive however the track design that features few true straights, means that the track is not conducive to overtaking. Pay attention to the walls that sometime are very close to the track, losing the car in a bad point will lead into a DNF in race.
QUALIFYING RESULTS
With drivers not yet used to the mod and setup and not much days available for testing let’s go to see the final qualifying results: the first Olympic driver is the new entry Battosai 5th than we have the other new driver Adriano500 9th and Tictac 10th, going down we find Zoneur 17th, me Walter976 21st, Ambadar 27th and last one without time Nemesis 35th.We can all see how strong is Lowland Racing Team and surely also EU Racers will give us hard time but… where is Don’t Lift team? Disappeared? Scared of F1 cars? LOL, I have the impression some will come during next rounds, we’ll see.
RACE RESULTS
DISASTER!!! OMG is a real disaster guys! I hope is the last time I have to comment such result for the team, all Olympic drivers got a DNF, actually I was the best of the team as I finished the race on lap 8 while all others between lap 1 and 5… No comment…Of course some of us like Adriano crashed because of faults of other drivers (penalty was given to Nuno Pinto) but most were going against a wall losing tyres, wings and so on…
The race was won by Okan followed by Dannt3L, Ricardo and CasH (3 LRT drivers), our new team mate Avni made a good job finishing 5th but it will be considered our driver just from the next race.
Better we start practicing a lot and maybe do not be so aggressive as these cars are sensible to every small touch, is not PSC anymore, races are much longer and we need to be more clever and use also the strategy to overtake drivers.
Looking forward for Malaysia, surely it cannot be worser than here in Australia!

Yep Nemesis, you were closing the gap to me very quickly and started to think about letting you pass easily but obviously was not a lucky race for Olympic team…
I hope you can get the same pace on other tracks, happy to hear that we’ll see you more often on track in short time, we need points from everybody!

Been very busy with work lately so had not had as much testing time as I would of liked. So started right at the back of the H2 grid as a result.
Prior to race, I had started to get some good pace out of the car. So I felt I could challenge up at the front providing I got off the start with out to much drama..
Me and Stylistix got off the grid fine side by side, unfortunately the two cars in front didnt seem to be paying much attention to the lights. Both of us had to swerve towards each other in order to not hit the two slow cars in front. Clipping each other but luckily no damage, just some time lost. I then passed a couple of cars who had collided in turn 1 and three or four in turn 2 where a big collision had happened.
So already up to 5th I was surprised how well things had gone and started to put the hammer down in order to catch and pass Patrick. Got a run on him into turn 2 and out braked him on the inside before making sure he had no way to pass into 3.
Next up was team mate Walter who I managed to get on the tail of with in a lap or so. Right behind him exiting 3 I over did the gas on the curb and repeated what Nakajima did in real life. The car spun and flew straight into the wall, race over in an instant :(
Very silly mistake from complacency, could of had a really good result maybe challenging for the heat win judging by the others lap times. so very disappointed with my self all in all.
Any way sorry my report is so long considering i only raced 4 laps lol. Im not totally sure i will race malaysia due to work again, in 2-3 weeks all work will be done and hopefully can make most races there after and prepare properly.

Well, sorry guys but it was a terrible round for myself…
At first I had not much time for testing so I had a poor qualify (21st position) than I tested a bit more with race setup getting a good pace and really looking forward for a safe and consistent race on heat 2.
The start was unbelievably clean with Patrick fair with me on T1, was keeping 3rd position at about 5 secs from the leader Avni than I saw on my mirrors first Patrick disappear than my team mate Nemesis both getting against a wall.
I had no more pressure from the back and still a close gap to the 2 drivers in front when… BANG! Lap 8, lost the car accellerating and lost wing and front right wheel against the wall. Aborted, DNF.
Really a stupid mistake, a pity, will get better in Malaysia, I’m sure!
